Allegations Of Animal Abuse Pile Up For Operator Of Cell Pet Salon In Hillsborough
James Taylor expressed his deep concern about the traumatizing experience that JUJU (his five-pound dog) went through at the weekend. According to Taylor, a groomer allegedly taped Jujur's mouth shut after being bitten, resulting in the dog being bloody and distressed.
Taylor recounted, "My dog was clearly in distress. What I initially thought was a muzzle turned out to be tape. Jujur's toenails were cut too close to his paws, which caused him to bite. His paws looked reddened and bruised.
Puppy Lux mobile pet salon employed the groomer in question.
James immediately took Juju to the veterinarian for urgent medical attention. In joining other individuals who have also made similar claims, he has accused Puppy lux of animal abuse. San Mateo's Office has now launched an animal cruelty investigation into Puppy Lux.
James described his observations, saying "I saw wounds in the genital, neck, and near the joints." These cuts were so bad that they bled."
Jack Smithr, customer of Puppy Lux posted a Yelp review detailing the way his pets were returned unwell or injured. One customer posted animal abuse blog a Snapchat clip of a dog who appeared to be in distress, alleging that the groomer forced a napkin down its ear.
Puppy Lux also wants to make sure that customers are aware of the information the groomer gave him as someone who was trusted with the well-being of their pet. James shared: "Jonny told that I should tape my mouth shut as it was an acceptable and normal method. Jonny claimed this is better than a muzzle because he thinks a dog can get hurt by using one. He also mentioned that he personally uses this method on his own dogs."
Fox contacted Puppy Lux, who answered the phone and handed it to a woman claiming that they were investigating allegations. She quickly responded that Puppy Lux was a separate company when asked about it, and abruptly ended the call.
